CMJ Features iNCH.'s "Artful Dodger"

Singaporean art pop artist iNCH. continues to rack up the praise for "Artful Dodger," the latest track off her August 27 release, Bumfuzzle. CMJ featured the Oliver Twist-inspired track on their website and asked iNCH. about Singapore's burgeoning music scene. "Our country is shaped by the healthy dose of European and American culture imported to our shores," iNCH. says in the post. "Singapore’s subculture scene is alive and kicking with a tightly knitted music community."

iNCH. poured her heart out into the production of her sophomore album Bumfuzzle. Paired with Chua’s artfully edgy vocals, the "Artful Dodger" pop melody entices and unites its listeners no matter their location. Her lyrics tell the story of Charles Dicken’s, Oliver Twist -- a cunning, skilled and immoral boy who notoriously avoids responsibility with humor and tact. He considers himself a victim of society and circumstance. But, ultimately, he becomes a very charming and endearing, lovable character. Chua describes Oliver as an “artful dodger.” Through her vocals and lyrics, she shares the troubles of an enduring love with such a boy.
