The Bluegrass Situation has the exclusive album stream premiere for SASO's new album The Levee.
Jaime Saso is an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. Raised in Texas, Saso wandered through many wildernesses of music: He's played Flamenco in the caves of Granada, tasted the East's musical offerings, and while trekking in the Himalayas, found his voice as a songwriter and began to hone the craft he'd always dabbled in.
Saso builds upon a foundation of Americana, Blues, Rock, and Pop, with cues from classic songwriters (Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Neil Young, Ryan Adams, Townes Van Zandt) but influenced in sound and melody by a diverse gamut of composers and instrumentalists (John Fahey, Manuel De Falla, Miles Davis, Vicente Amigo). Saso makes his home in the city of song.

Offers First Single, “Stephanie” as Downloadable MP3
"The track glides by in its shimmering sentiment, which lands perfectly because of Jamie Saso’s deep, full and weathered vocals." [10/31/2016]
Maurice Hope, Americana UK
"His infectious style of delivery on the tune had me reminiscing on another Texas singer-songwriter who has long impressed with his shrewd probing work, Darden Smith." [1/9/17]
"['Looking For Eliza' is] an infectious track that clocks in at barely over two minutes, all the while bursting with upbeat guitar that straddles the line between the fervor and intonation of bluegrass and Flamenco." [11/22/2016]
