Three For Silver Releases New Orchestral Single

Portland trio, Three For Silver, release the second single, “The Way We Burn” off of their upcoming album due out September 1 on Foggy Night Records. “The Way We Burn” is an uncharted ship destined to vulnerable depths. It’s an orchestral beckoning and reckoning where honeyed velvet vocals soar and swell in a divine dance of intoxicating melody.

Every note, every instrument, every decision was made to strip the band down to their core and stretch them to unexplored areas of their musicianship. Willo Sertain relied solely on her voice as a vessel in exploring the upper limits of her register. Lucas Warford replaced his yowl and rap basses with tender and nimble piano enveloping Sertain’s vocals in a lover’s embrace. Susan Lucia, deprived herself of the bombastic beats of a traditional drum kit to capture the whispered conversation of padded toms and snares. The result is a slow burning ember rising and swirling in an unbridled fire of beauty. This is what can only be found when we lay ourselves bare.

About Three For Silver:

Three For Silver is made up of three core members, Lucas Warford (lead vocals, bass banjo, resonator bass, contrabasin), Willo Sertain (lead vocals, accordion), and Greg Allison (violin, mandolin). They put out their first self-titled album in 2013. Their second album, Bury Me Standing, was released in 2015, and have released two live EPs within that time as well. Their upcoming album features a diverse instrumentation and style. It was engineered by Adam Lansky and is being released on Foggy Night Records this September.
