Fresh MP3 Friday: The Modern Airline

The Modern Airline's newly released single "Accelerated Evolution" is inspired by an episode of The Outer Limits, in which a scientist discovers a way to accelerate his own evolution. In the lyric "head the size of a punching balloon", lead vocalist and guitarist Lee Chabowski explains this to be his interpretation of the character's head in the episode and the starting point for the song. "My motivation was get to the point where this pompous, social misfit gets punched in the head, setting his mental level to one of a beer-swilling sports fanatic," exclaims Chabowski.
