Fresh MP3 Friday Does Monsters and Astronauts

Be the first to download The Modern Airline's single, "Monster on the Campus
off their self-titled debut album, due out Sept. 4.

"Monster on the Campus" is a fun play on the 1958, Jack Arnold directed, sci-fi classic of the same name. "I loved this movie as a kid," Lee Chabowski said. "It was constantly played on Sunday afternoons." And what better way to pay homage to your childhood nostalgia than to put it into song. Blend those traditional sci-fi movie tones with what can only be described as eighties 8-bit video game music and you've got an instant classic. Download "Monster on the Campus" now!

Be the first to download Marian Call's first single, "Good Morning Moon" off her upcoming, fan-funded release, Something Fierce, due out Nov. 13.

Centered on a dare by a longtime fan, Marian Call penned a playful wake-up song for astronauts. At the heart of this cheery song, Call incorporates the spirit of the album by moving beyond the studio and including those that helped fund her album; the fans who sang, whistled, and added doo doot doot doo's. "So many different sounds wanted to be added that a lot happened in my own home, in the homes of friends, on impulse after shows, in all sorts of different cities," Call said. "It truly is a mass choir from all over the country, each voice is individual." Download "Good Morning Moon" now!
