Beth // James Releases New Folk Single, “Bring Your Fire To Me”

The Austin duo, Beth // James, announce the single, “Bring Your Fire To Me” off the upcoming release of their debut EP, All In Life. Recorded by Brian Douglas Phillips (David Ramirez, Rob Baird), the track is a powerfully passionate duet that slowly burns and crackles through the empty spaces of atmospheric sound. “Bring Your Fire To Me” is available as an approved downloadable mp3.

Band members Jordan James Burchill and Mikaela Beth Kahn pick up right where The Civil Wars left off on their latest track. “Bring Your Fire To Me” dances around a calm, blue flicker before building into a blaze fueled by the beg and plead for love’s embrace. The genuine ache and, at times, desperation of each distinct voice is apparent and can be felt throughout the empty spaces created by the drone of shimmering electric guitars. Inspired by the first year of their relationship, Burchill and Kahn sing about the love that held them together despite distance, work, and the weights of everyday life. “Bring Your Fire To Me” is a love letter that they could play to each other and know the other person was always waiting on the other end.
