Antenna Man Releases New Alt Country Single, “Knockdown”

Antenna Man announces the whiskey-drenched single, “Knockdown” off the upcoming album, Elaine Jr. Recorded at Postal Recording (Margot & the Nuclear So and So’s) in Indianapolis, the album is due out on February 17. “Knock Down” is available as an approved downloadable mp3.

“Knockdown” is an anti-social song exposing a liberating catharsis. The upbeat melody couples with a rebellious attitude against the hustle and bustle of technology in small town America. The lyrics recall a more carefree lifestyle on a lazy night in the country, swinging by the fire with a drink in hand. As the booze kicks in and the angst swells, thoughts of knocking down the satellites start to take hold. You can almost hear the metal burning up in the atmosphere as the song climaxes with a wailing electric guitar and vocal chorus. “Knockdown” reminds us unplugging for a day is a welcome release.

When he’s not playing a show or practicing with his band Go Tiger, Go! he can be found at one of Detroit’s best new restaurants or taking in the sights and sounds that the area has to offer. He loves running, coffee houses, playing with puppies, and the occasional vortex of video games.
