Getaway Dogs - Album Release Case Study
Campaign Overview and Goals: In the summer of 2016, Green Light Go began a campaign with Bay Area band Getaway Dogs to release the album, Lost In The Ebb. The major goal for the group was to gain exposure on indie blogs and especially those within San Francisco and New York.
Strategy: The strategy for Getaway Dogs was to focus on their diverse musical background which included a fusion of indie folk, hip-hop, and Brazilian finger style guitar picking. Living along the coast inspired many of the themes and music for the band's album. We highlighted this influence and touched on an additional aspect of vocal harmony between male and female voices.
Results: Through this approach we were able to secure coverage with key tastemakers including The Wild Honey Pie, The Music Ninja, The Huffington Post, and Songwriting Magazine, with 37 placements in total for a 50 contact campaign.
