Emily Meyers

Publicity Intern

Emily Meyers

“Pun extraordinaire, ice cream connoisseur, tune aficionado, aspiring audiophile, mediocre hiker…”

This is a sampling of the titles that Emily has achieved over the years. (At least, according to her biggest fans: her folks back home.)

Emily has delved into various aspects of music since she could see above the kitchen counter. From starting out with piano, viola, and string bass lessons, to soaking in sound waves with her older brother on the basement couch as their dad cultured them with his vinyl collection, she has been raised and encouraged in the metro-Detroit area to indulge in as many music communities as possible.

Well-seasoned in orchestral performance, developing a strong interest in jazz improv, and having dabbled in garage rock in the summertime, she thrives on variety. Emily strongly believes that in order to succeed at something, one has to become acquainted with as many angles as possible to develop perspective. President of Oakland University’s Public Relations and Advertising club, principal bassist of the Oakland University Chamber Orchestra, and host of her own program, The Eclectic Selection, at Oakland’s campus station, 88.3 FM – WXOU, Emily has become a lady of many trades in the past four years.

Whenever tackling a new project, Emily’s go-to tune is “Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen.

Emily is graduating in April with a B.A. in Communication with a minor in Public Relations from Oakland University. She aims to succeed in the music industry by means of pursuing her passion of radio promotions and music media/public relations.

We maintain a limited roster size and often book 8-12 weeks in advance.

We only publicize upcoming albums or EPs that weren't previously released. We also require a three month lead time in advance of the release to meet media deadlines and maximize your campaign.

We do NOT do single or video only release campaigns, but do publicize singles/videos as part of an album or EP release campaign.

We do NOT do tour campaigns, but do publicize tour dates as part of an album or EP release campaign.

We will only consider bands who give clear goals with their expectations from the campaign. This should not just include general statements like "I want to be famous" or "I just want to get my music heard."

We will only consider submissions who inlcude a link to listen to music. Please only submit streamed audio files (Bandcamp or Soundcloud preferred).
